Speaker's Profile

Brian McLaughlin has grown up in the YMCA and has gone from young camper to a lifelong career in the Y. He has been involved in the YMCA movement for over 17 years and continues to share the same passion for strengthening our communities. His career began at the Peninsula Metropolitan YMCA in Newport News, Virginia where he held several positions including Membership Director, Program Director, and Senior Program Director. The majority of his time in Virginia was spent around Youth Development programming. He then moved to the YMCA of Greater Seattle, where he served as an Associate Executive Director. After serving in Seattle, Brian moved to the YMCA of Memphis and the Mid-South to lead the Cordova Family YMCA as Branch Executive. He has since been promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations leading membership, marketing and youth development to expand the Ys reach and collaborative impact in our community. He has most recently been named Chief Operating Officer.
